What makes you smile?
Think of the things that put an instantaneous smile on your face, no matter of what your mood is.
Here are a couple of things that do it for me:
1. a laughing baby
2. a person tripping (and not getting hurt....too badly)
3. when Darrin walks in front of the car and I barmp (honk) the horn. He jumps EVERY TIME!
4. sleeping children
5. a clever, sarcastic retort (especially if I haven't thought of it myself first)
I had to fire an employee on the weekend and it tore me up so please share with me. Your thoughts just might make me smile.

well this morning I went for a "small bowel follow through" exam, which required me to drink two BIG glasses of thick, chalky white barium. It was awful, and strangely enough...it looked exactly the same going out as it did going in!!!
(um...ya...don't ask me why I was looking at it coming out!!)

I know, I know, that's not really something that makes ME smile...but everybody else seems to get a chuckle or two from the descriptions of my current assortment of medical tests!!!

Well, let's see...a joke perhaps? I suck at those. a funny story about my nasally challenged husband...it's a go!
In discovering that Billy almost died in the dentist chair during his last visit (damn those rubber dams), off he went to his doctor - who in part was AMAZED at his nasal passages...yes, AMAZED! Why? because they are soo small - billy has a BIG NOSE. He was SO amazed that he needed to take another look, at which he poked his nose poker thing up Billy's nose so high, it caused Billy to sneeze and send a booger, or two flying out of his nasally challenged nose and right onto the doc's glasses!
Did ya laugh? It's really the best I could do.
Very funny especially because I have seen Billy's nose!
Thanks!
And to Andrew - Gross!
I love honking the horn when Jeremy walks in frount of the car too. So funny. Even better is when he is checking the oil, give the horn a honk. That makes him jump all the time and I almost pee laughing so hard.
Maybe we need to spend sometime together tomorrow. I always find a good coffee from Starbucks makes me feel better. I know that this has made you smile in the past. So just think of Chris being sick because death has come over him. Call me anytime to talk.
Andrew's comment made me laugh and feel gross all at the same time.
I too smile at those things. I don't know Billy but I laughed til I cried. And AK, your comments always make me laugh.
So you are working again? You had to fire someone? I had to do that once and it was definately not pleasent for me. I hate being the bad person but sometimes that's what needs to be done to keep order to the place.
A smile moment? When I go outside and my car is all taken apart (backseat ripped out or door off the hinges). All I can do is laugh at Jeremy because sometimes he reminds me of TIM-THE-TOOLMAN-TAYLOR. (But Jeremy is actually very handy, not like Tim).
What makes me smile?
Well, children that look up at you and tell you how wonderful you are. Can't help but not be grouchy after seeing them smiling up at you!
and,
today, I walked into Rebecca's room and one of the new boys didn't know I was 'Rebecca's mom'...he said, "hey, she looks like Becca!!"...great observation!!
Let's clarify...
