The drive home
The drive home from pre-school is always interesting. Ethan tells us stories about the day and pretty well sings the whole way home.
Today was different.
Silence.
Silence.
Silence.
Then....
"Mom, you know that you and dad are on the naughty list, don't you?"
To which I replied, "Is that right? How come?"
"'cause daddy said "Shut-up" when I was little 4 and you speed!"
More silence.

Wow, you guys must behave well around the house if that's all he could come up with.
Uncle Policeman might have to come and get you for being so naughty. At least for the speeding. I'm not sure he can do anything about saying shut up. Kids come up with some pretty funny stuff. They're so innocent.
i think thats the moment where you are supposed to crush his dreams of santa and tell him that there is no such thing. follow that with you pointing in his face and going "HA HA Sucker"

No, that's when you take back all the gifts that were from Santa and buy yourselves some really expensive things "from Santa". Then on Christmas morning say "I guess you're the one on the naughty list Sucker", while pointing in his face.
I wouldn't go that far however I did say that it was a good thing that Santa only comes every second year and this isn't his year.
